Sara McDonald is a composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in 2013, she immediately began touring throughout the US and Europe with her own large ensemble project 'The NYChillharmonic.' In conjunction with being an active performer, Sara also began working as a talent buyer and booker at various clubs around NYC.

Within a few years she had established her own roster of promoters, presenters, and club owners that she continues to work with on a freelancing basis. She spent the following two years intermittently gigging as a Line Producer at Lincoln Center before moving on to an Assistant Agent role at Columbia Artists. During this time, Sara continued to tour regularly with her own projects and win several awards for her compositions - namely the ASCAP Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award, which she received twice, and the ASCAP Phoebe Jacobs Prize. She was also included in Brooklyn Magazine's Annual "30 Under 30" List in 2018.

In 2019 Sara accepted a job at Colbert Artists Management as an Agent and Artist Manager. Later that year she brought Jazzrausch Bigband onto the Colbert roster, the company's first jazz signing in over two decades, and began a working relationship with their European management company, KD Schmid.

Sara is thrilled to take on this new role at SCHWARZMOND. and can't wait to begin working with all of the wonderful artists on the roster!
